Ha Pak Nai - Best Sunset View in Hong Kong

Ha Pak Nai - Yuen Long, Hong KongHa Pak Nai is a wetland area in Yuen Long District, New Territories, in the northwestern part of Hong Kong. It is known to offer the best sunset views in all of Hong Kong.

Facing Deep Bay (a.k.a. Shenzhen Wan), Ha Pak Nai is a favorite dating venue among lovers when the sun is just setting, giving the shallow beach a shimmering glow. At day, the area is a typical fishing village with fish ponds along the bay shore. Hundreds of rafts, which hold oysters and scallops underneath, float on the bay.

The area is also the site of the fortified structure at No. 55 Ha Pak Nai, a declared  monument used during the revolutionary movement under the leadership of Dr. Sun Yat-sen and his compatriots. The structure served as an operational base of the movement.

To get to Ha Pak Nai, take green mini bus No. 33 at Tai Fung Street in Yuen Long Town, alight at Tai Kok Miu or Ap Chai Hang after the Lau Fau Shan Roundabout.
