Hong Kong Disneyland - The Perfect Destination for Family Fun

Hong Kong DisneylandBuilt on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay in Lantau Island, Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located inside the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. It is owned and managed by the Hong Kong International Theme Parks and first opened to the public in September 2005. The theme park incorporates Chinese culture, customs, and traditions in its design and just like most structures in Hong Kong, strictly followed feng shui principles during construction.

The park is divided into six themed areas, namely: Main Street, U.S.A., Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Grizzly Gulch and Toy Story Land. Each area offers a variety of rides, shops, restaurants, and live entertainment.

Main Street, U.S.A.
Just like the other Disney theme parks in other parts of the world, Main Street, U.S.A. serves as the main entrance to the park. Hong Kong Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A. is based from Disneyland in Anaheim, California, the first ever Disney theme park. The decor is small-town America from the years 1890-1910. It is here where the Flights of Fantasy parade takes place and the best vantage point to enjoy the Disney in The Stars Fireworks extravaganza.

Adventureland
Set against an exotic jungle, Adventureland is the biggest among all Disney parks. Its attractions include Tarzan's Treehouse, the Jungle Cruise, and the Festival of the Lion King musical show.

Fantasyland
With Sleeping Beauty Castle and the whimsical Fantasy Gardens as its background, Fantasyland features attractions such as It's a Small World, Golden Mickeys Show, Mickey's philharmagic 3D Show and the many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh. Guests can also interact with Disney characters that roam the place.

Tomorrowland
A futuristic land offering out of this world attractions such as the Space Mountain (indoor rollercoaster), Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster, Stitch Encounter (interactive show), Autopia, Orbitron and UFO Zone.

Toy Story Land
Fist opened in November 17, 2011, Toy Story Land is located to the west side of the park, behind Fantasyland. It is designed to look like Andy's backyard complete with oversized toys. Here guests can enjoy rides and attractions inspired the Toy Story films such as Slinky Dog Spin, Toy Soldier Boot Camp, RC Racer, Toy Soldier Parachute Drop, Barrel of Fun and Cubot.

Grizzly Gulch
Playing on the Wild West theme and designed to look like an abandoned mining town, Grizzly Gulch is set amidst mountains and woods. Its centerpiece structure is Big Grizzly Mountain, inspired by Grizzly Peak in Disney California Adventure Park, and features the Runaway Mine Cars. The town was set to be founded 8 August 1888 — the luckiest day of the luckiest month of the luckiest year — by prospectors looking to discover gold. Other attractions include the Welcome Wagon Show and the wet and wild Geyser Gulch.

Another section, Mystic Point, openned in the Spring of 2013. Set in a dense, uncharted rain forest surrounded by mysterious forces and supernatural events, Mystic Point will feature Mystic Manor, a home to a world traveler and adventurer.
