Golden Beach is located along Castle Peak Road on the outskirts of Tuen Mun in Hong Kong. It is the biggest among the several beaches located in Tuen Mun's Mediterranean-style Gold Coast Resort. The other nearby beaches are Cafeteria New Beach, Cafeteria Old Beach, Kadoorie Beach and Castle Peak Beach.
Golden Beach covers a total area of 78,500 square metres and a 545-metre stretch of sand which was imported from Hainan Island in Mainland China, making it the first artificial beach in Hong Kong. Other beach facilities include clean showers, toilets, changing rooms and a volleyball court where the Hong Kong Beach Volleyball Team occasionally held their practises. There is also a year-round lifeguard service.
Also nearby are private residential buildings, the Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel, Hong Kong Gold Coast Shopping Mall, marina and the newly constructed Hong Kong Gold Coast Dolphin Square.
