The show, which debuted in late October 2014 for the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, and returned in December for the WinterFest, features stunning 3D graphics and images projected onto the facade of the iconic Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Clock Tower and accompanied by a special musical score.
The stories and visuals for the two previous stagings were unique and suit the festivals' themes. The upcoming staging is expected to highlight the Lunar New Year celebrations.
The Hong Kong Pulse 3D Light Show is produced by the Australia-based Spinifex Group, which was behind numerous international creative media shows, including the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in 2008, 2010 Shanghai World Expo, 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, and the Sydney Opera House light show “Vivid Sydney” in 2013.
The show will run four times every night, at 8:30pm, 9pm, 9:30pm and 10pm, with the best viewing point at the cultural centre’s Open Piazza. It is a project of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB).
To get there, take MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, Exit J, and follow the signs to Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
