The city has a number of ice skating rinks located inside major shopping complexes, providing both kids and adults an escape from the scorching heat outside. The Rink at Elements
Located at the ground floor of the Elements shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui is The Rink, an ice skating venue catering to the little ones and beginners. The 900 square metre rink features a glass wall providing 180 degree view of Victory Harbour. It is the first ice rink in Hong Kong to employ the 'pay as you skate' concept using the automated Octopus system where skaters are charged by the minute they are in the rink and not on fixed rates. Ice Palace at Cityplaza
Ice Palace is located at the first floor of Cityplaza in Island East and is one fo the first and longest-running ice rinks in Hong Kong. The 800 square metre world class ice rink is also home to the largest skating school on Hong Kong Island with 29 coaches offering group and private lessons. Mega Ice at Mega Box
At 1,482 square metres, the Mega Ice at Level 10 of MegaBox in Kowloon Bay, is one of the largest and only ice rink in Hong Kong that meets Olympic and international standards. It features an enormous glass curtain that offers spectacular views Victoria Harbour. Apart from recreational ice skating, Mega Ice is also a popular venue for ice sports competitions and is the home of the CIHL professional men’s hockey league and Youth Hockey League. Glacier at Festival Walk
Located at the Upper Ground floor of Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong, the Glacier is the largest ice rink in Hong Kong at 1,150 square metres. The breathtaking views of the Lion Rock Mountain on one side and the party vibe at Glacier makes it a popular venue for both recreational and competitive ice skating activities. Glacier is located at the Upper Ground level of Festival Walk at 80 Tat Chee Ave, Kowloon Tong.
Sky Rink at Dragon Centre
Sky Rink is located at the 8th Floor of Dragon Centre in Sham Shui Po, Kowloon. The 738-square metre ice rink features powdery simulated snow and is a favorite among dating couples for its ‘lover special’ on Wednesdays. Sky Rink is at 8/F, Dragon Centre, 37K Yen Chow St, Sham Shui Po.
