Jardine's Crescent is a street market located in the heart of the shopping district of Causeway Bay offering a variety of merchandise at bargain prices. Just a few steps away from the Causeway Bay MTR station, this street market is very accessible and a great place to look for inexpensive apparel for men and women, accessories, household items and souvenirs.
The market can get very crowded as both local shoppers and tourists flock here to get great stuff without breaking the bank. Both sides of the narrow street are filled with stalls selling all sorts of items. Just like other street markets in Hong Kong, haggling is customary here as every shopper aims to get the best value for his money.
The street was named after William Jardine, a Scottish physician and merchant who co-founded the Hong Kong conglomerate Jardine Matheson. The site is one of the oldest shopping area's in Hong Kong dating back at least to 1845.
Parallel to Jardine Crescent is Jardine's Bazaar, another popular dining and shopping destination in the area offering a variety of restaurants and shops selling clothes, Chinese medicine, etc.
Jardine's Crescent is open daily from 11:00am to 9:30pm. To get there, take the MTR to Causeway Bay station. Get out of the station through exit F and turn right.
