Lee Theatre Plaza is a premier shopping mall located in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The shopping centre was built on the former site of Lee Theatre, which used to be one of Hong Kong's most popular venues for stage performances and cinema screenings since its establishment in 1925.
Apart from Cantonese opera and concerts by acclaimed Hong Kong artists, the 2000-seater theatre also hosted the annual Miss Hong Kong pageant from 1973 until the late 1980s. It was the venue of the Miss Universe beauty pageant in 1976.
In the 1990s, the theatre was demolished and the site was redeveloped into an office building and a shopping centre. Renamed Lee Theatre Plaza, it reopened in 1995 as a shopping centre featuring well-known international brands and fashion flagship stores including Uniqlo, Muji, and Åland. Upon completion, the new building also had a movie cinema but it was replaced with a restaurant in 2005.
Lee Theatre Plaza is located at 99 Percival Street in Causeway Bay. To get there, take MTR to Causeway Bay Station, take Exit F and walk for approximately two minutes.
