Tai Tong Organic Ecopark is a 30-acre farm-themed attraction located in Tai Tong, Yuen Long in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The park was created in a former barren valley and officially opened to the public in 1994.
Comprised of sprawling orchards of fruit-bearing trees, fields of organic vegetables, and beautifully landscaped gardens, the Tai Tong Organic Ecopark aims to enhance visitors' environmental awareness by educating them about agricultural science and technology, as well as the importance of protecting the natural ecology.
The park offers a range of farm-friendly activities including harvesting of organic fruits and vegetables, feeding farm animals, horse back riding, and fishing. Picking organic vegetables and fruits is one of the park's popular activities. Depending on the season, visitors can harvest crops such as strawberries, corn, lychees and longans. The park also hosts agricultural and outdoor workshops.
Park facilities include sprawling grassy lawns, covered pavilions, koi pond, lotus pond, waterfalls, children's playground, mini zoo, butterfly exhibit, observation tower, horse stable, barbecue sites and a canteen.
Tai Tong Organic Ecopark is located at Tai Tong Shan Rd., Tai Tong, Yuen Long in the western New Territories. It is open daily. Admission and activity fees apply.
