The park occupies an area of 7.13 hectares and was opened to the public in September 1996. It features both active and passive recreational facilities and attracts many visitors due to its proximity to the Tsing Yi MTR Station.
In the center of the park are ornamental lakes with a large waterfall. There is also a lookout pavilion, a picnic area, three pebbled walking trails, a Palm Garden, and a Prunus Garden.
Other park facilities include seven tennis courts (open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.), a 7-a-side hard surfaced soccer pitch, an outdoor basketball court (open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.) and a light refreshment restaurant.
There is also a 1,200-metre and a 900-metre quali-walk paths, two children's play areas, an Elderly Fitness Corner, a Tai Chi Garden, an amphitheatre, and a Large Amenity Lawn which are open from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
